Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
I am a BE Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, obtaining my MD degree in Syracuse, NY, at SUNY Upstate in 1995, completing my residency and fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in 2000.
My work history includes a year in Australia under an occupational trainee visa, followed by 3 months each in Portland, OR, Laconia, NH, and Greer, SC working locum tenens short term assignments in outpatient and community based psychiatry clinics working with all aged patients and their families. I then worked for 7 1/2 years as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, during which time I served as Vice Chairman of the Meriter Hospital Department of Psychiatry, as interim Chair for a year, and a two year stint as interim Medical Director, Hospitalist, and UW teaching Service Director at Meriter’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Hospital.
In February, 2010, I began practice at Madison Psychiatric Associates as a community based private practitioner in the provision of quality mental health care of children, adolescents and their families. Additionally, since later 2010 I have served as Medical Director of NorthStar Day Treatment Program for Adolescents in Madison and from 2011 am also employed as consultant at Aspen Family Counseling in Portage. Since 2013 I have been Assistant Boys Cross Country Coach at Oregon High School.
In Psychiatry my specific area of interest is in school consultation, medication management of anxiety, mood disorders and depression as well as ADHD in childhood and adolescence and augmentative individual focused psychotherapy.
